Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acclaimed for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded several grants and was awarded many national and international distinctions. She has worked with various governments and agencies throughout the world regarding policies and studies on children as victims within the legal system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as director of three divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development as well as Practice Division of the American Psychological Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
